Prayer to obtain grace through the intercession of Saint Faustina

Prayer to obtain grace through the intercession of Saint Faustina

Prayer Text

O Jesus, You inspired Saint Faustina with profound veneration for Your boundless Mercy. Grant me through her intercession, if it be Your holy will, the grace …for which I fervently pray. My sins render me unworthy of Your Mercy, but be mindful of Saint Faustina’s spirit of sacrifice and self-denial, and reward her virtue by granting the petition which, with childlike confidence, I present to You through her intercession.

Our Father…, Hail Mary…, Glory…
Saint Faustina, pray for us

Prayer For a Good Death to St. Joseph

Prayer For a Good Death to St. Joseph

Prayer Text

St Joseph, comfort of the suffering and dying, my good Father! You received the gift of remaining on earth until the end of your days in the company of Jesus and His Mother, and you deserved the grace of dying in their arms. I am asking you, let your intercession obtain for me the grace of a good death, so that – like you – I may surrender my spirit to Jesus and Mary. During my earthly life, be an example and help to me, so that at the hour of death, with the awareness of a well-fulfilled vocation, with a pure heart and in peace, I can go to meet the Father. Amen.

Rosary to God the Father

Rosary to God the Father

August belongs to the Father. A unique revelation and “Rosary to God the Father” According to what Sister Eugenia was to hear, God the Father cares first of all that people rediscover who and what He really is. He complained to the visionary that many believers did not really know Him at all, carrying His caricatured vision in their souls and spreading it to others.

Sister Eugenia

Eugenia Ravasio, who was under 25, nun of Italian origin. She was just making her novitiate at the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Apostles in France, near Lyon. On July 1, 1932, during a personal prayer, she experienced a revelation. God the Father himself was to appear to her and speak to her. The visit was repeated on August 12 of the same year. Sister Eugenia wrote down the content of both apparitions in Latin (although her knowledge of the language was very small) in two notebooks, which she then passed on to the local bishop.

What does the Father want?

According to what Sister Eugenia was to hear, God the Father cares first of all for people – His children – to rediscover and deeply know who and what he really is. God the Father complained to the visionary that many believers did not really know Him at all, carrying Him in their souls and spreading (worse) to others His caricatured vision – a menacing, angry old man to be feared. God the Father spoke to her about the “wound inflicted on God’s Heart” through such thinking and the actions resulting from it. From the messages given to Sister Eugenia, it would appear that most people (including believers) still do not know the Father, who is “an ocean of merciful love”. And He wants nothing more than that we should be sure of His closeness and tenderness towards us.

Promises
In the July revelation, God the Father was to encourage: “Call me in the name of the Father with trust and love, and you will receive everything from this Father, experiencing love and mercy at the same time.” And in August he promised: “All those who call me by the name of the Father – even once – will not perish, but will be sure of eternal life with the elect.”

Feast of God the Father
In the apparitions given to sister Eugenia, God the Father was also to express the desire that a separate liturgical feast in his honour would be established in the Church, which would be an opportunity to show and proclaim the truth about his paternal love for all creatures. It would be celebrated on August 7 (the day after the Feast of the Transfiguration, when “a voice said:” This is my beloved Son, listen to him! “- Mk 9: 7) or on the first Sunday of this month.
God the Father was also to show the visionary a picture of Him, which would help in discovering, developing, deepening and promoting filial spirituality among the faithful. It is worth adding, however, that the “icon of God the Father”, known today to an increasing number of believers, is not simply the image that Sister Eugenia saw.

No other forms of devotion were mentioned in the apparitions, although several “little prayers” were created in connection with them, including the Litany and the Chaplet to God the Father. However, they were not dictated by the apparitions themselves.

Good beginnings
Initially, the apparitions of the young nun met with a very favourable reception (or at least with benevolent interest) from the ecclesiastical hierarchy. The local bishop set up a competent commission composed of both theologians and doctors. Both the mystic herself (deciding about her mental health and giving a testimony of impeccable faith and morals) and the content of the revelations given to her were examined. Ultimately, the committee expressed its approval, having previously dealt with several important and controversial issues. In 1935, the bishop began a reliable and long (lasting over a decade) but successfully completed canonical process leading to the official recognition of sister Eugenia’s apparitions. In the Sister’s Order, too, everything was going well at the beginning. The sisters accepted the content of the apparitions with enthusiasm, and the Mother General allowed the congregation to celebrate the long-awaited feast for the next three years. In 1936, Sister Ravasio herself was elected Mother General.

A dramatic “turn”
As was customary, she soon went to Rome to introduce herself to the Prefect of the Congregation for the Promotion of the Faith. To her considerable surprise, during this (it seemed) formal visit, she was strictly forbidden to tell anyone or anywhere about her apparitions, or to propagate their content in any way. When the aforementioned canonical process in the diocese was completed, its results were sent to Rome. Mother Eugenia was summoned by the Holy Office shortly after. She was reminded and upheld the previous prohibition, and ordered to destroy all copies of the record of the apparitions, threatening to excommunicate her for failing to obey this “rule to the ruler” command.

The visionary was also forbidden to talk about it with anyone – even with a confessor and spiritual director. She was also ordered to resign immediately from her position as mother general of the congregation. If it seemed that it couldn’t be worse, then it could be. After a few years (in 1953), the church authorities forced Sister Eugenia to leave the congregation, suggesting that she might establish some new ones. So it happened.

The turbulent fate of sister Eugenia and the apparitions
The Missionary Association “Unity” adopted as its charism the promotion of the spirituality of God’s sonship, although for the first thirty years it did not refer directly to the revelations of the foundress. Only at the beginning of the 1980s, thanks to the commitment of the spiritual director of Sister Eugenia, a copy of the apparitions was found and spread again among the faithful – again with the consent and approval of the Church. Sister Eugenia’s life was turbulent. She suffered a lot. She even spent four months in prison, wrongly accused of making the newly founded congregation a cover for extorting huge sums of money. Sister Eugenia died in 1990.

Rosary to God the Father

In preparation for the Jubilee Year 2000, Saint Pope John Paul II proclaimed 1999 “the year of God the Father.” It was then that the content of Sister Ravasio’s apparitions gained great popularity. At that time, as part of the “pastoral materials” sent to dioceses, a “rosary to God the Father” was offered, which, although not derived from the sister’s revelations, reflects their spirit well and may become an important practice for those who wish to develop their child’s spirituality. Divine.

And it is said like this: In the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. On a large bead: Hail Mary … On small beads (10 times): Our Father … Glory be to the Father … The call: My Father, good Father, I offer myself to You, I give myself to You. Prayer: Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day (or night), be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

It also has its own secrets that should be pondered and contemplated: Mystery I – The triumph of God the Father in the Garden of Eden. After Adam and Eve fall into sin, God the Father promises us a Saviour. Mystery II – The triumph of God the Father in Mary’s fiat in the Annunciation. Mystery III – The triumph of God the Father in yes to Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. Mystery IV – The Triumph of God the Father during the Detailed Judgment after our death. Mystery V – The Triumph of God the Father during the Last Judgment.
