O God, who by the Passion of Christ your Son, our Lord, abolished the death inherited from ancient sin
by every succeeding generation, grant that just as, being conformed to him, we have borne by the law of nature the image of the man of earth, so by the sanctification of grace we may bear the image of the Man of heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
“Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” – 1 John 2:6
Holy Thursday celebrates the institution of the Eucharist as the true body and blood of Jesus Christ and the institution of the sacrament of the priesthood. The Priesthood was born during the Last Supper when Jesus gave his new love commandment, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.” (John 13:34)
